I am immensely proud to be the Headmaster of the happy community that is Fettes Prep. Like any good family we encourage the children to throw themselves into everything they undertake, but above all, we want the process of growing up to be fun. Our recent HMIe Inspections praised the caring community that we have built and the manners and bearing of our pupils. Developing the Individual Small class sizes and excellent staffing ratio ensures that we can devote considerable time to the individual needs of each child. The Arts are thriving giving an excellent opportunity for self expression - artwork is displayed around the school, we have regular stage performances and a range of musical instruments are taught with expert tuition. Children also develop their confidence and teamwork through performing at School concerts and Orchestra tours. An Active Life With Sport, the emphasis is placed on maximum participation and enjoyment. Through developing teamwork, determination and self-esteem on the playing fields, we encourage the development of confident and well mannered pupils. The sporting and cultural life of the School is supported by an extensive activities programme crucial for an all-round education.
